Needs are the basic building blocks of life. All humans need relatively the same things to continue existing and remaining happy. If this is true statement then how is it so difficult to explain ours needs to another individual? We are both humans and both presumably speak the same language. What is really holding us back?

I will be exploring my journey through Nonviolent Communication and the lessons I have learned through this. I will be talking down examples from real life that are sadly too common in all of our lives. Hopefully this will spur thinking and communication building in all of our lives that will create ideas that we can take back to our team to use on a daily basis.

Outline/Structure of the Talk

I will leading with a presentation. Throughout the presentation I will be asking the audience to stop and analyze different parts of the presentation in how it relates to their life.

Learning Outcome

I am hoping that people will not only learn about how the Nonviolent Communication model works, but how the language we use can mean so many different things to so many different people.

I want people to be able to take what I have learned and apply it to every day teams that may not function correctly or even ones that do to enhance performance.
