The Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) has a special event that is held for every Program Increment (5 sprints-ish). This is a large scale, collaborative event including everyone from the Agile Release Train (50 people plus). This workshop will be a highly interactive event where all participants will be involved in one of many teams collaborating together to plan a single Program Increment for a single product.

This will be a fast-paced, high octane session with a lot of fun! Nick is assisted in the delivery of this action packed workshop by fellow SPC, Aaron McKenna.

    Dear Nick, Aaron,

Overall we like the proposal and we think its an important topic. However we think 90 mins will not do justice to Agile Release Train, as a topic. In fact, we've a full-day pre-conference workshop on this topic.

Would you please consider turning this into a 45 mins case study, where you can take a specific large scale example and walk us thru how you went about doing the Agile Release Train, what challenges you guys faced and how you over came them?

    Thanks.

    Dear Nick,

Thanks for the proposal. Should be a good one for people who are new to SAFe way of doing release planning. Do you have any other video that is of better quality - the voice is feeble from what I heard.

Also, are you planning to cover the SAFe framework in totality or just the high level ART and 2 MMFs based on the fictional business context ?

Another logistic related question : What is the min - max number of participants that you can handle in this session? That would help.

    Thanks

    Venkat

      Hi Venkat.

Here are links to a couple of presentations that Nick has delivered in the past:

      http://www.mckennaconsultants.com/agile-beach-2014/

      https://vimeo.com/70618023

Can you let me know if you can hear the audio better on these?

The workshop will give people a high level overview of the SAFe framework, in order to give the participants enough knowledge in order to understand the workshop. There is not nearly enough time to cover all aspects of the framework but there will be two of us on hand to answer questions and facilitate during the workshop.

In terms of numbers, this workshop will work best with a minimum of 20 people and we could facilitate up to around 75-100.

If you have any other questions please do get in touch either on here, or via email aaron.mckenna@mckennaconsultants.com

      Thanks,

      Aaron.
