7 building blocks of successful Scrum Development programs

Large scale IT programs typically manifests key patterns emerging from scrum teams, software engineering processes & product development which can be formulated as foundation blocks to build successful products.

The session will outline the experiences on one such engagement, where the Product and IT program were inherently unique due to following characteristics:

  • Large volume app processing (~15 million records a month)

  • Government end-user with inherent penalty risk

Outline/structure of the Session

In any Scrum project, the rigour of Agile coupled with the right delivery framework provides impetus for successful product development. This framework would be broken down into 7 foundation blocks and further each block would be highlighted using a mix of role-play and project scenarios/examples.

Learning Outcome

The key takeaways would appreciation of various facets of large Scrum projects and bootstrapping pointers for such future programs. The underlying objectives of the session would be to focus on various cross-functional aspects that need to factored while piecing together a Scrum program which is scalable and successful.
