Playshop on Experience & Play the New age Mantra for Design led Innovation

unconventionally. A culture of play unlocks rich insights, enables constructive dialog which leads to humanized thinking and encourages taking big risks while creating resiliency through failure on the path to success.
A Playshop is a synergy of Play & Workshop. A playshop is a Hands-
On, Minds-On Learning approach wherein you will undergo a three-stage process of Play + Think + Transform to produce a deeper, more meaningful understanding through an experiential process.
As a participant of the Playshop, you would learn to "Think with your hands" & "Learn by doing" and unravel how one has a natural skill of being agile & think about design from the varied experiences that are brought on the table via metaphors & stories by building 3d Lego-models (using Lego Serious Play kits) of our thought process.
In this playshop, you will understand how Play & Experience are an important & integral part of innovation, design thinking & being agile.
Outline/Structure of the Workshop
- Introduction to Play: Unravel the imagination & enable creative thinking for Business Outcomes
- Transcend to Thinking: How to bring in constructive dialog & group thinking to derive meaningful insights from varied experiences shared by the team
- Understand the mindset for Design Led Innovation
- Appreciate the benefits of Play & Experience for Design-led innovation for solving complex business problems
- Uncover the drivers of Innovation & Innovation based culture for an organization/team
- Understand how to groom mindsets for Design-led problem-solving
This Playshop will address evolving principles and methodologies in creating a Design Led Innovation Mindset. It will help you to gain a deeper and clear understanding of how to go about :
A) Setting up a Design Thinking & Innovation Culture
B) Understanding dimensions of Design-led Innovation
C) Bringing in Play based Interventions for creating a Design-led problem-solving mindset
D) Harness on Experiences for deeper understanding of the problem & nurturing innovation in solving them

Prerequisites for Attendees

Business agility is an organisation’s ability to respond rapidly to changes in the faster-than-ever changing business environment. It requires good amount of adaptability, flexibility and balance to acquire and sustain long-term business agility.
An organisation is a "complex system" comprising of good number of individual "components" - people, infrastructure, departments, etc. Each of these components need to be well oiled and needs to contribute towards achieving the true business agility and stay relevant, competitive and alive. It's not the “best individually performing component(s)” that can take the organisation towards agility. These "Super-Heroes" will lead to local optimisation and eventually, an overall disaster or death for an organisation. So, we do not need super-heroes working in silos.
Rather, we need all the components to work together and collaborate. For instance, even a small software delivery team needs a bunch of skilled individuals can work with others effectively and collaboratively, and that one inspiring leader who can coach them “we” over “me” mindset. Real Agile teams are great teams outperforming themselves every time.
In this brief talk titled "Super-Hero Culture: The Achilles' Heel of an organisation's Business Agility", we will be exploring some aspects of a truly Agile business organisations, and what “ingredients” can make them outperform themselves. The super-hero culture needs to go away for organisations to survive in the complex business environment.
