The IT Centre at Bangalore started its journey in March 2015 as an in-house global information technology centre in Bangalore, India, which is expected to provide employment opportunities for several thousand IT professionals by 2020. Bangalore has been selected because of its competitiveness and the availability of a skilled, diverse IT talent pool covering the broad range of skills and disciplines that Shell needs worldwide.
The Shell Group recognises the strategic contribution that IT makes to its business – which is one of the reasons to bring the projects and operations capability in-house - and develop it further. This new centre will be one of four global IT hubs for Shell, helping to transform the way we manage technology and drive business value. Shell IT Centre, Bangalore is strategically placed in the hi-tech capital of the country. With this latest entrant, Shell enables new opportunities for India’s best and brightest minds.
