About the Proposals Submission Process

Submit your proposal for a talk, workshop, or other session for LAST Conference Canberra 2018, including as much detail as you can.  Submissions will be reviewed for suitability by the LAST Conference Canberra 2018 Program Committee.  Last year we had more than over 50 proposal submissions and this year we expect many more.

1. To get started. Please see this page for videos and audio from our recent information session in Melbourne on the LAST Conference theme for 2018...

2. Interpret the brief widely. Pitch us your ideas!  Talks, hands-on sessions, workshops, games - Level Up!

3. Be as detailed as possible in your submission, as this will help you to refine your idea in your own mind, help the content Program Committee select your session, and enable people who are coming to LAST Conference Canberra 2018 to decide that they want to come and join in your session/s.

4. Don't forget, you can edit your session and adjust the idea in the coming weeks, so don't think that you've only got one chance. You can also submit multiple ideas and proposals.

Travel and Accommodation

As we are focused on the local community, we don’t expect people to travel (too far!) from interstate or overseas to participate, although you are welcome if you choose to come.  As LAST Conference Canberra is an event with low registration prices, we need to keep our overheads low. Therefore, we generally do not reimburse travel and accommodation, or pay a fee to session leaders/speakers.
