Emergent strategy. A way to plan with intent and act with agility

In this session I'll demonstrate a method to resolve the conflict between long-term strategic planning and short-term adapting to feedback loops.

At the highest level we'll cover purpose, the simple statement of why we're doing this work. We'll then move to measures and signals that help us know if we're achieving our purpose. Next will be a demonstration of an emergent strategy canvas and how we can to use the canvas to assess how well aligned our WIP is to the strategy.

There will be questions that I won't have the answer to, I have some of those questions myself, so expect this session to facilitate shared learning and ideas.

Participants will walk away with helpful templates to use in their own work places.
