In most of my Agile Coaching engagements, the first thing that the client/leadership/engagement partners tell me that their biggest challenge is that the Development Teams are not "Delivering" good enough. And the vendor organization says we will "fix" the issue - wow, fix the issue ????

    The BIG Concern:

    While working with multiple clients across different geographies, one of the concerns that majority of the clients and leadership have is whether it is possible to "trust" Development Teams and expect them to be "motivated" and committed to put in their 100% i.e. not goof off.

    In Scrum we talk about Development Teams "Pulling" in work during the Sprint Planning - do they pull in as much work as they can, to challenge themselves continuously ?

    Do the Development Teams pro-actively volunteer to implement the best engineering practices possible, in the truest sense of the word "self-organized".

    And the Assumption:

    Successful Agile Implementations make a very BIG ASSUMPTION - that teams can be expected to be motivated.

    So if the team is not Motivated then can an Agile Implementation be successful ? :)
