I am an occasional speaker at local meet ups, institutions and companies with the hope to get recognition for women in technology and leadership positions and to inspire others to do the same. I have also given talks internationally; Dublin, Ireland and most recently, Silicon Valley, California, USA.
I bring authenticity, warmth, humor and useful insights to my writings and talks and I customise each of them for my particular audience, whether they are students, entrepreneurs, technical groups, people managers or executives.
I spoke at last year YOW! CTO Summit in Sydney and my talk title was "Creating career development for engineering teams".

You were a superstar developer! You wrote elegant code, you understood how things were put together behind the scene and you were the go-to person for any technical issue or question about the organisation's code base.
And because of that, you got promoted. The saying about what made you successful in your previous role won't necessarily work in your new role couldn't be more right.
As an engineering leader who once used to be a superstar developer, how do you survive and then thrive in your new role?
I will be sharing with you everything I have learned and observed in the last five years as an engineering manager, all the struggles I had and my strategies for how to not only be an effective engineering leader but also enjoying my job.
