Nurture Organizations Through Servant Leadership!

For Scrum teams to be successful, they have to evolve and adopt the mindset of servant leadership.

  • What does Servant Leadership mean to Team?
  • How about the management?!

The consciousness of the System is a shadow of it's leader and limited by the consciousness of the leader. How to elevate the consciousness of the leader (and in-turn system as a whole) to take the organization to the next level?

No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it. - Albert Einstein

I like these aspects of the submission, and they should be retained:

    • I like the topic
    • I like the promise of storytelling as a way of learning
    • I like relatable examples (though individuals are less ambiguous than companies).

I think the submission could be improved by:

    • The target audience is a bit vague, is this the right audience? Why should the audience care about this topic?
    • The slides don't match the outline presented. Leaders and companies are the last 2 of 29 slides. Has the talk gone through a revision since the slides were produced?
    • The companies and leaders mentioned sound like text book examples. I would have liked to see examples from your own experience. What authentic stories do you have from your own experiences?

Could you kindly update your submission to address these points. Thank you!

      Hi Peter,

Thanks for your time to help improve my proposal.

      As suggested, I have updated:

      • The target audience.
      • Replaced "leaders and companies" section with a short story of a transformation of a bank that I witnessed and was part of.

      Regards

      Rohit

Thank you, Rohit! I think you have improved your proposal. Your closing slides still only cite US/American examples. Are there any Asian companies that you could cite in your slides?

I like these aspects of the submission, and they should be retained:

      • I especially like the idea about  “ How to elevate the consciousness of the "System" to take the organization to the next level?"

I think Submission can be improved by:

      • Could you please explain which slides you will be using to explain above?

      • What is the respective learning objective ? I assume its To reflect and share individual understandings of how to implement servant leadership in our Teams and Organizations as a whole
      • Can you please elaborate what points you are planning to discuss under "Elevating consciousness of the "system" to take organization to next level. And how you would help the audience to understand it clearly ( stories, examples etc. )

Could you kindly update your submission to address these points. Thank you!

        Hi Janani,

Thanks for your time to help improve my submission.

I have added more details in the abstract to remove the ambiguity (system). We, the people make the system and they are limited by our mindset.

Your understanding is correct. It can be mapped to "To reflect and share individual understandings of how to implement servant leadership in our Teams and Organizations as a whole"

"Elevating consciousness of the "system" to take organization to next level." Modified it to relate more with consciousness of the leader. Also, now I have included a transformation story. Apart from that I talk a bit about situational leadership style.

Please let me know if you have any further concerns.

        Regards

        Rohit
