Impact of Scrum Master's Personality on project success

The Scrum Master plays an important role in directly impacting direction, progress and ultimately the success of a project. The Scrum Master is expected to play the roles of a process owner, problem solver and protector in a project and these require them to showcase certain capabilities and actions during the lifetime of the project. The personality of the individual playing the role of the Scrum Master has a huge impact on playing these roles which will ultimately impact project success. I will discuss the 'Big 5 personality traits' and critically examine how these traits will impact the effectiveness of a Scrum Master in an Agile project.
