A success story about the world-class product life cycle management software, Teamcenter Rich Client, migrate platform from eclipse 3.8 to eclipse 4.6. The talk will give you overview of our migration strategy, experience using 3.x compatibility layer on Eclipse 4.x and the challenge that our presentation layer on Eclipse.3.8 was built on presentation factory extension removed in eclipse 4.5. We will discuss some hands-on examples how we resolve issues by migrating some eclipse 3.x components to eclipse 4.x application model, which compatibility layer can’t resolve. And some issues in 3.X code base that how we tweak them to work on Eclipse 4.6 compatibility layer to avoid large-scale of migration.

Can you please share slides or videos from any of your past presentations so the program committee gets a better sense of your presentation style.

Also can you please highlight some of the key challenges you guys ran into and how you addressed them while migrating your app?

Lastly, do you really need 3 people to present a 20 mins talk?

Thanks. Please note that we'll be finalising the program next week, if you can share these details before that it would really help with the review and selection process.
