As practitioners of Agile and guides on changing mindsets, we often hear the same reason as to why things cannot or will not change...

"It won't work, it's more complicated than you know"

"It's not that simple...we don't do it like that here"

"That's all well and good (that fluffy pie in the sky Agile thing) but we still need to deliver"

We hear these proclamations before we have even started or tried any form of change...Why is that? Why is there a large portion of our organisation afraid to try something new?

Breaking it down further, why are teams afraid to experiment? And at it's very core, why are we as individuals afraid of challenge and learning when there is the real possibility of becoming better?

By understanding our own unconscious mindsets, we can grow our own capacity to understand other's and their resistance.

Join us as we learn about the concepts of fixed and growth mindsets and how our own unconscious tendencies can undermine our capacity for change.

  • Fixed mindset - believing your sense of self worth is defined by your results
  • Growth mindset - believing your sense of self worth is tied to your ability to learn
