  • helpHow to add a proposal?

    • Click on the conference you wish to submit proposal for.
    • Under conference logo and information section. Click on to add proposal.

      OR

      You can visit the event's proposals page by navigating to Proposals option under PROGRAM in the left menu.
      When you reach at the proposals page, click on add_circle_outline Propose Session present next to search proposal section at proposals page.
    • You will be prompted to sign in or create an account if you are not logged in at this point.
    • After logging in successfully, you will be redirected to Add Proposal page.
    • Enter all the relevant details regarding the proposal and click button.
    • If you wish to save it as draft to revisit later then click button.
    • Please note that,
      1. 10 points will be deducted from your account on proposal submission.
      2. If your proposal is accepted, you will be rewarded with 100 points. You will also get a point when someone like your proposal.
  • helpHow to update proposal?

    • Click on the user drop down button, present at the top-right corner.
    • From the drop down,
      select My Proposals
    • Click on the proposal you wish to update. This will take you to the proposal's page.
    • Click on button.
    • After updating the details, click on to save the changes.
  • helpHow to submit a DRAFT proposal?

    • Click on the user drop down button, present at the top-right corner.
    • From the drop down,
      select My Proposals
    • Click on the proposal you wish to update. This will take you to the proposal's page.
    • Click on button.
    • Click on to submit the draft proposal to the conference.
  • helpHow to submit slides?

    • ConfEngine does not allow you to upload your slides to our site.
    • Instead, we have two options:
      • OEmbed Option:
        • We recommend that you use one of the slide hosting platforms like slideshare.net, slides.com, speakerdeck.com, prezi.com, etc.
        • Once you upload your slides on any of these platforms, simply copy the link to your slides and paste it in the Slides text box.
        • Click anywhere on the page outside the text area. You should see a preview of your slides.
      • Plain Link Option:
        • You can also upload your slides to any of the file sharing platforms like DropBox, Google Drive, etc. or upload to your own server.
        • Once you upload your slides on any of these platforms, simply copy the link to your slides and paste it in the Slides text box.
        • Please note that we cannot show the preview of the slides in this case.
  • helpHow to add tags to my proposal?

    • Click on the user drop down button, present at the top-right corner.
    • From the drop down,
      select My Proposals
    • Click on the proposal you wish to update. This will take you to the proposal's page.
    • Click on button.
    • Scroll all the way to the bottom, you'll see a section called Labels
    • Start typing the tag name you want add. If there is a similar tag already, you can select it or just press enter after typing your tag name
    • Tip: Assume you want to add a tag called microservice. However someone else has already added a tag called microservices. If you enter microservice and hit enter, it will pick microservices. To avoid this, simply put a space after microservice and it will now pick microservice instead of microservices.
  • helpHow to remove a tag from proposal?

    • Click on the user drop down button, present at the top-right corner.
    • From the drop down,
      select My Proposals
    • Click on the proposal you wish to update. This will take you to the proposal's page.
    • Click on button.
    • Remove custom tags by clicking the x on the tag
      tag to be deleted

    • After removing the custom tags, click on button to save the changes.
  • helpWhere do I find all my proposal (including DRAFT proposals)?

    • Click on the user drop down button, present at the top-right corner.
    • From the drop down,
      select My Proposals
    • To find accepted proposals click on the Accepted tab.
    • To find rejected proposals click on the Rejected tab.
    • To find proposed proposals of whose decision is yet to be taken click on the Proposed tab.
    • To find saved drafts of proposals click on the Draft tab.
  • helpHow to submit an existing proposal to a different conference?

    • Go to your proposal that you wish to submit to another conference.
    • Click on button.
    • Select the conferences you want to submit your proposal from the drop-down and click on button.
    • You will be redirected to Propose your Session page. Review your proposal details esp. the theme and duration. The other conference might not have the same theme or duration slots available.
      To submit the proposal, click on button.
    • Note: Make sure you've at least 10 points for target conference available to submit your proposal.
  • helpHow to transfer proposal to another speaker?

    • Click on the user drop down button, present at the top-right corner.
    • From the drop down,
      select My Proposals
    • Click on the proposal you wish to transfer. This will take you to the proposal's page.
    • Click on button.
    • Select the speaker's username you want to submit your proposal from the drop-down and click on Transfer
    • Pre-conditions:
      • The other speaker should have a profile on ConfEngine.
      • You can only transfer the proposal before the conference has accepted it.
  • helpHow to delete/remove my proposal?

    • We don't have an option to delete the proposal. However, we do allow you to remove it from the conference and keep it private.
    • Go to the proposal you wish to delete.
    • Click on button.
    • Click on to remove the proposal from getting publicly listed.
    • Withdrawing the proposal will not delete it. It will simply not list it with other proposals.
      Note: You can still share the direct link of your proposal. Anyone with the direct link will be able to view your proposal.
  • helpWhat are the different sort options to order the proposals?

    • On the proposal list page, we can sort the proposals based on their popularity, likes or submission time
    • Latest - based on the submission time of the proposal. Newest proposal on the top.
    • Likes - based on the number of like a proposal has got. Highest to lowest.
    • Popularity of a proposal is calculated based on the following:
      • Keynotes & Invited Proposals first
      • Accepted Proposals next
      • Proposals with most likes next
      • Newest proposals next
      • *Proposals with more flushed out details are displayed earlier in the sort order
  • helpHow to see your workshop attendees?

    • If you are a presenter at a workshop, you can see the list of workshop attendees.
    • Hover on your name in the top right corner and then click on My Account
    • This will take you to the page with all the passes bought under your account for the events.
    • Click on Workshop Attendees option from the left side menu.
    • This will take you the Workshop Attendees page.
    • You can even export the Workshop Attendees by clicking on the Download Attendees Details as CSV present at the bottom of the page.
