Alexandra Ursea is an Independent Consultant located in Toronto. She is an experienced professional with more than 15 years extensive experience in Information Technology, 10 years' experience in Software Development and more than 6 years of experience in leading all phases of IT projects using a mix of Waterfall and Agile frameworks. Alexandra started working as a Programmer Analyst and held various roles such as IT Internal Consultant, Project Coordinator, Project Manager and lately Scrum Master.
She has been working in large and medium sized companies involved in agile transformation in the role of Scrum Master. She is passionate about the agile practices, values and principles, scaling agile, agile frameworks and business agility. She is an avid reader of leadership, agile, organizational and change management and business agility topics and books trying to find the perfect balance of integrating the knowledge gained in agile organizations.
Alexandra holds a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and a Bachelor of Mathematics and Computer Science degree from University of Waterloo. She has been a CSM since 2013. She also holds a PMP certification since 2011, as well as CAL1 (Certified Agile Leadership 1) and a Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) Practitioner certifications.
Alexandra volunteered with PMI-Toronto GTIS branch for more than 2 years and delivered a couple of presentations on Scrum.
