Google launched Project Aristotle to get an answer to this question. The result was "Psychological Safety" ist the most important precondition.
Using psychological safety as an example, I explain what basic conditions must be met in a team to dramatically strengthen it.
Many companies still believe that external motivation like more money, incentives, good sounding positions and more will have an effect on the engagement of employees.
In fact, only 15% of all employees in traditional companies (Gallup study) feel engaged.
In the agile context, this is already 45%.
We try to explain why this is so.Thereby I give tips, which methods and formats are available to achieve this goal. "Brownbag Talks, FuckUp Talks and especially retrospectives are very effective formats when it comes to improving psychological safety in self-organized teams.
