Face-to-face discussion around a sketching space has been considered as most effective communication strategy. This kind of set up requires members to be in the same room together. Co-located Agile teams rely on intensive member to member communication, both within the team and with the customer. This allows them to deviate from deliverable driven process—like writing detailed requirement document—usually associated with plan driven approach. Informal discussions within the room, in breakout areas, and other shared physical spaces radiate the information thus contributing towards teams collective understanding without having the need formal communications. While every organization will have its own business reasons for setting distributed Agile teams, distribution demand formal ways of conducting the communication lacking which contribute to knowledge gaps among members. Advancements in communication strategies has helped distributed teams to maintain the communication but it has still left a gap in the form of "Presence disparity".

Today, everyone’s talking about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it’s going to change the way we conduct business, and live our lives, forever.
In fact, it’s shaping up to be the single biggest technology revolution the world has ever seen. It’s a completely new factor of production, capable of driving business growth by augmenting natural human expertise, taking automation to new places, and diffusing innovation throughout society.
Interestingly, customer experience is one of the most disruptive area by AI as AI has already proven that it has potential to enhance customer experience extensively across industries.
A new cohort of AI-first businesses is flowing into the market. As many as three-quarters of the executives say that some kind of AI will be actively implemented in their organization within three years. It’s happening because AI technologies are finally hitting the mainstream. McKinsey estimates AI techniques have the potential to create between $3.5 T to $5.8 T in value annually across nine business functions in 19 industries. At the same time, another study conducted by Accenture indicates 53% of all companies are in pilot mode or early stage AI adoption mode and not yet reaping benefits. From the early stages of AI adoption and beyond, many companies are either stopped in their tracks or slowed due to several obstacles that range from data to talent, to the technologies themselves. When addressed, each of these perceived stumbling blocks can also be a key enabler of AI benefits. Through this topic, we would like to talk about “talent” as an obstacle. Talent which can visualize & drive implementation of next generation product and services that are infused with AI and how Product Owners can be readied to fulfill this asks! We will spread awareness on following queries among Product Owner community:
• Do you understand what AI is?
• How product owners can contribute to the success of AI?
• What it can do, and the ethical questions it raises?
• Have we truly grasped the game-changing implications for our business, our industry and for the society we live in?This activity cum talk is here to help answer some of these questions and more based on our own experience of accidentally crossing over the line to become Product Owners of an AI enabled delivery platform from our earlier role of Agile coaches.
About Presenters:
We are part of a product owner team and from last 3 years, visualizing & conceptualizing that how AI can help agile teams to be more predictive, productive and efficient. Hence, wants to share our experience to help our agile experts community. -

According to Gartner, it is estimated that by year 2030, up to 80% of routine work — which represents the bulk of human hours expended across today’s PPM disciplines — could be eliminated as a result of collaboration between humans and smart machines. Similarly, by year 2030 Agile would have become standard delivery method adopted by organizations across the globe. It means there is very high probability of activities that Scrum Master, Product Owner and the team which are doing today will be automated or will be done managed by smart machines.
AI will play significant role to automate most of the activities involved in the areas of Agile requirement/backlog management, project management, scrum management & continuous delivery areas. Bots and AI will be extensively used to achieve this and thus enabling team to focus on other high value innovation activities.
In this proposed Session, we will help participants to familiarize with industry standard AI maturity levels and popular Machine Learning methods and how to apply them to Agile delivery processes with real world solutions. Solutions include automating routine tasks through to providing concrete, data-driven insights to improve team performance or to identify areas which calls for Agile coach’s attention.
