I first became interested in Software at the tender age of 9 when my parents got sick of me at home and threw me into a summer class at the local community college. I went through that class copy-pasting bits of code to make things happen until it clicked and I realized I could do whatever I wanted. I spent the next several years looking for someone to teach me what I wanted to learn and finally gave up and taught myself before high school. Since then I developed an interest in wide variety of software fields, from machine learning and computer vision to software design and correctness. For the past few years I've been in the weeds implementing DevOps solutions for a variety of companies. What matters to me is the certainty that what I wanted to build and what I actually built were the same thing. See, as a kid I learned I could build whatever I wanted; as an adult I've come to understand that there's a lot of work in between wanting to build something and making it a reality. So now I help companies turn their wants into reality.
