I am the Process Redesign Manager at the Victorian Government Department of Health and Human Services. I was brought in by the department to build a business improvement function from scratch. I am a big believer in the value of diversity and cross-functionality in thinking and I actively work to build communities across disciplines. In addition, I started a company, BCON Vic (pronounced beacon) at the end of 2016 with a view to creating a boutique consultancy built around the premise of intersectionality in change disciplines as a means of delivering positive improvement for organisations. I am also responsible for coordinating ABPMP Melbourne Chapter's digital presence, communication and facilitation of events. I co-organise the Meetup Business Performance and Transformation Melbourne.
I have worked extensively in the public sector in transformation and improvement using business architecture and process management to facilitate smooth change. I am a certified Business Architect in the BPTA methodology and hold a graduate certificate in Information and Technology (QUT). This is all built on analytical and research degrees in biotechnology and biochemistry.
I have spoken at conferences including Quality Software Australia and IRM UK joint conference on BPM and EA. I am a regular presenter at Meetups and work hard to bring excitement and flair to what can be dry topics at times.
In addition to BPM and business architecture I am interested in things. I attend many meetups on human centred design and innovation, startups, agile and change thinking. I listen extensively to podcasts and am a keen adopter of the Victorian religion of AFL. I love good clothes, good food, theatre and iPhone photography.
