My regional work experience includes 7+ years in the Advertising & Marketing industry with a 2 year stint in between running 2 technology startups: an eCommerce store & digital agency made up of freelance creatives. I am currently part of the team executing Aviva's digital transformation.
In the last 4 years, I've traveled extensively for work and had opportunities to work with clients and colleagues in these cities: New York, London, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Manila & Singapore
My qualification as a designer & experience as a freelance photojournalist makes me a better creative & content lead.
My last role at Metalworks by Maxus, the innovation unit of a global media agency, as Communications Manager, allowed me to stretch my storytelling capabilities to facilitate organisation-wide digital transformation. We positioned ourselves as a thought leader in the field of experiential advertising, bagging an innovation award from AdWeek for a campaign, speaking engagements at technology/advertising conferences and a string of press features in trade/business press.
I was able to add value to my previous roles in managing lifestyle events & advertising/design projects by speaking the same language of design with the creative team & our vendors. A keen aesthetic sense & sharp wit did help at times.
I advise a handful of startups on Public Relations & Marketing & teach Digital Marketing at General Assembly outside of work.
As part of a great crew of volunteers, I've been the co-organiser for a global monthly breakfast event, CreativeMornings / Singapore, since 2012. We are currently the longest running community event for creative professionals in Singapore.
