Emily Marie Waters has worked in anti trafficking since 2008, and is a survivor of trafficking. She has trained counselors around the world in trauma informed care, has conducted legislative and trafficking prevention work in Eastern Europe, and has mentored treatment centers in Europe and Asia. Her research from Bulgaria was featured in the 4th International Social Work Conference, and her CSEC work was featured at the AACRC Conference in 2015. SHe also presented at the 2016 IASWG Conference on Trafficking Aftercare in Group Models.
Emily has a Master of Social Work from Azusa Pacific University and a Master of Public Administration from Pennsylvania State University. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Social Work at Adelphi University.

This is a 10 week curriculum for trafficking survivors mandated by the courts to attend counseling. A group format is suggested due to the ability to share like experiences, and to allow for group modalities to be used. This curriculum uses evidenced based practice methods of evaluating the efficacy of the program and the progress of the participants.
