Gary Pedretti is an agile software development trainer, practitioner, and coach.  He has helped businesses deliver value via software over the past fifteen years, from small volunteer organizations to Fortune 100 corporations.

He holds the Scrum certifications of CSM, PSM, PSD .NET, and PSD Java.  In 2006, Gary took a class with Ken Schwaber, a co-creator of the Scrum framework.  He saw Scrum, other agile frameworks, and their attendant practices as a natural outgrowth of the lessons learned in the software industry, including lessons he learned himself.

Gary has a technical background, with an emphasis on application architecture, quality assurance, and relational databases.  He holds numerous Microsoft certifications, including MCSD:ALM and MCDBA.

Gary is a strong believer in the “see one, do one, teach one” road to craft and mastery, which led him to the role of trainer.  He is a Professional Scrum Trainer for Scrum.org.  He has also developed and delivered custom curriculum around numerous subjects, including development process, coding, testing, estimation, and application architecture.

He has spoken at numerous conferences and user groups, including Agile 2013, ALM Chicago, and Chicago Code Camp.  He blogs at GaryPedretti.com, and is currently working on a podcast featuring interviews with industry thought leaders at AgileChats.com.
