Dr. Kimberly McGrath is the Clinical Coordinator of Foster Care services at Citrus Health Network, a position she has held since 2002. Citrus Health Network was founded in 1979 as a community mental health center dedicated to serving mentally ill individuals and their families. In 2004 Citrus Health Network began offering primary care in addition to mental and behavioral health services. Dr. McGrath is the founding clinician for the Citrus Helping Adolescents Negatively affected by Commercial Exploitation (CHANCE) Program, a Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care (STFC) and Community Response Team (CRT) for victims of Commercial Sexual Exploitation. The CHANCE Program addresses the emotional, social and behavioral needs of victims of human trafficking.

 

Dr. McGrath has presented about the CHANCE program at several local, state, and national conferences on topics including human trafficking, child welfare, mental health and substance abuse. She serves as a member of the Statewide Human Trafficking Services Workgroup, and the Workgroup’s Residential Providers Subgroup, as well as of the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office Human Trafficking Task Force. Additionally, she has been a Panel Participant at the Human Trafficking in Miami and Our Local Response Conference, and the Philanthropic Collaborative, Human Trafficking Summit. In November 2015, Dr. McGrath was awarded the Community Advocate of the Year Award by the Florida Attorney General’s Office for her work with this population.

 

In addition to founding and developing the CHANCE Program, Dr. McGrath is also the founding psychologist for the Treating Adolescents Coping with Trauma (TACT) program, an outpatient program for sexual offenders, victims of sexual abuse, and their families.

 

Dr. McGrath is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from Northeastern University, and her Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology. She has been with Citrus Health Network since 1999 when she joined the organization as a Predoctoral Intern.
