Amazon is a showcase of being obsessed with its customers and has the results to prove it. Unfortunately, many organizations struggle with building or delivering things that customers really ask for. Often protracted projects focus on how the system should work and not necessarily on how the users intended to interact with it. Detailed and lengthy requirements documents are created where the customers get what is written down but not necessarily what they want.
