My Doctoral Degree in 1977, was followed by a one year Internship at the Pine Rest Christian Psychiatric Hospital Adolescent Unit in Grand Rapids, MI. Sexual abuse was frequently an issue. Upon completion of that year, I entered Private Practice and found that sexual abuse, domestic abuse, and PTSD were all too common. Upon reducing the size of my practice a few years ago, I began to do counseling and teaching on various worldwide medical mission trips one of which as to a safe house in Central America. This experience underscored the necessity of my taking my nearly 40 years of clinical experience and creating a 36 lesson, Bible-based restoration curriculum for deeply wounded women and children. The curriculum STORIES IN GRACE (SING) is being used is several countries including Uganda, Central and South America, and Mexico. The Teaching Video filmed in Uganda demonstrates how a lesson unfolds. (www.storiesingrace.org)
