I’m an Agile Coach with a passion for supporting teams and organizations as they continue to evolve on their Agile journey. I began my career following a traditional waterfall software development path, starting out as a business analyst and then transitioning into team leadership and project management roles. Then everything changed in 2010 when I discovered Agile – and realized there were other people in our industry who felt the same way I did about revolutionizing the way projects are structured and executed! My first experience with Agile was an experiment with Scrum for a non-technical team; a purely project management Agile effort. We had great success with that experiment and I became an Agile Evangelist from that point on. After that first project, I held numerous roles spanning different points of view from Product Owner, to Scrum Master, to Release Train Engineer/Value Stream Engineer. As time went on and I saw teams falling into similar patterns as they struggled with Agile adoption, I wanted to do more; I wanted to share the lessons I’ve learned along the way to help others avoid some of the pitfalls my teams have stumbled into and dug ourselves out of and to propel new teams forward with an enthusiasm for Agile. I also wanted to work with senior and executive leadership to help them understand how important their role is and to partner with them to mindfully roll out Agile Transformation efforts in a way that excites and engages the workforce rather than terrorizing and frustrating the people most affected day-to-day. As an Agile Coach, this is my focus. It’s my greatest hope to help organizations evolve into thriving Agile enterprises where people can pursue their passion and purpose, projects are enjoyable and highly successful, and the organizations as a whole are a reflection of the greatness within.
