Pamela J. Pine, PhD, MPH, is an international public health/development professional and the Founding CEO of Stop the Silence®: Stop Child Sexual Abuse, Inc. (Stop the Silence® Pamela began working on child sexual abuse (CSA) in the year 2000 and incorporated Stop the Silence® as a non-profit organization in 2004. The Mission of Stop the Silence is to expose and stop child sexual abuse and help survivors heal worldwide. 

Stop the Silence focuses on Awareness, Prevention, and Healing regarding CSA through a host of evidence-based, creative, and impactful programs that are carried out locally, nationally, and internationally. The organization necessarily also focuses on issues related to CSA, like trafficking, other forms of domestic violence, and bullying.

Pamela has been designing, developing, managing, implementing, providing technical assistance to, and evaluating a wide range of health programming (e.g., training, community outreach and education, community mobilization, media outreach, advocacy, social marketing, policy development) focused on enhancing the lives of the poor and otherwise underserved groups for over 30 years. Pamela is considered an expert in CSA prevention and mitigation including the at-risk nature of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) and sex trafficking, and is called upon by TV, radio and magazines to provide interviews and expert input on a regular basis (see .

Pamela has worked on numerous health endeavors (e.g., reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, leprosy, immunization, nutrition, maternal/child health, child sexual abuse, and other interpersonal violence) throughout the world (e.g., Albania, Botswana, Congo (DRC), Cyprus, Egypt, Haiti, Hungary, India, Italy, Jordan, Philippines, Poland, South Africa, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Yemen, Zambia). 

Pamela currently runs Stop the Silence®, provides assistance to national and international health and development programs and projects, and teaches public health at the university Masters’ level. She very recently (September 2017) was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Advocacy from the Institute on Violence, Abuse and Trauma (IVAT) in San Diego.

Pamela is a member of Zonta International and sits on the Board of IVAT and the Advisory Committee of the National Partnership to End Interpersonal Violence (NPEIV). She also provides input and guidance on various other national and international programs. She speaks Arabic and French. In her off-time, Pamela paints and sings and reads for pleasure, and is involved in various types of physical exercise.
