Digital Products Program Manager
Member since 3 years
When the realisation came about that I didn’t have the talent or skill to become an elite athletic, I decided to focus my attention toward something I was great at, namely project & program management.
Beginning 20 yrs ago, I have spent over 40,000 hours enabling business through IT, business processes & in some cases new product or service launches. I have developed applications & software using Scrum Agile, I have integrated ERPs using Prince2 & I have built large scale e-commerce capabilities using the PMBoK framework.
Most recently, I managed a program to build the largest public, high speed WiFi Network in Australia and supported many aspects of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
I am a strategic thinker, however I enjoy taking the time to learn the detail from SME’s. I have worked with some amazing CIOs & I have been fortunate enough to have represented many of them whether it be on the negotiating table or before a Board. I am budget focussed with significant risk management & mitigation experience. I manage programs strategically by engagement & relationships, enabling a no-nonsense & practical approach with both internal & external stakeholders.
I welcome feedback. I am authentic. I have empathy & I believe that all great outcomes are the result of great teams. I listen intently before I speak. As a consultant specialising in both transformation, strategy & delivery, I start with the end in mind. I am a subscriber to Dr. Stephen R. Covey’s writings ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People’, in particular Habit 5: “Seek first to Understand, Then to Be Understood”.
On a personal note, I enjoy doing the difficult & I enjoy a challenge. I have climbed mountains, run marathons & I even once cycled across Australia solo. I am a family man and whilst I am always happy to deliver challenging bespoke solutions,
