I'm a driven, energetic Scrum Master and writer with a masters in anthropology and a number of certifications in Scrum, Scaled Agile, and IT.
My background in anthropology allows me to look for ways to affect the culture and environments I'm placed in, while my professional experience in software development and IT provides me with the skill set to address and handle team needs and stakeholder priorities. My focus is on learning the culture of a team to find out what practices and processes work best for them and adapting to meet their needs, while keeping them focused on a shared vision.
I am proficient in tools such as JIRA, TFS, Visio, Project, and ProVision.
I enjoy game design, storytelling, and creative writing. I've published a number of short stories and flash fiction, as well as created short video games using Twine and RPG Maker VX Ace.
I also run a street hockey league in Crystal City through DC Fray.
