Rolf W. Reitzig is a seasoned software engineering, project management, process improvement, tool implementation, and organizational change leader. With over 25 years practical experience in the software industry, he has helped dozens of Fortune 500 companies improve quality, productivity, and project results. His experience ranges from leading multi-million dollar software projects accessed by tens of thousands of users, to driving multi-thousand-person software process and tool implementation efforts, to performing high-profile organizational, financial, process, and tool appraisals/assessments.
Having performed in almost every role associated with software engineering, Mr. Reitzig interfaces effectively with software and IT executives, middle managers, and technical staff. He is an expert in Agile methods, scaling Agile practices using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), the Rational Unified Process (RUP), Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), and organizational change.
As a Resident Affiliate, Mr. Reitzig assisted the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) in communicating the return on investment of CMMI efforts to the software development community. He speaks regularly at international conferences, seminars and user groups sponsored by the SEI as well as software engineering automation tool providers like IBM Rational and Serena. He also advises executives and senior managers, helping them understand the economics of process improvement and its implications on organizational change. Mr. Reitzig holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and an MBA in Finance from the University of Colorado, and is on the Board of Advisors of the Metropolitan State College’s Department of Computer Science, and on the Technology Committee of the Denver School of Science and Technology.
