Shalini Sinha has around 18 years of industry experience majority of which is spent in analytics product development. Currently she is working at Numerify as Director of Data Science and prior to this she lead CRM analytics team in Oracle. Numerify is a Cupertino head-quartered startup that offers pre-built analytics applications in the area of ITSM. She played pivotal role in setting up AI and ML practice in Numerify and now leads it to build and deliver packaged Machine Learning solutions on in-house built Machine Learning platform on top of Python and Spark ML. Her current focus is to develop and deliver plug-and-play Machine Learning solutions for improved RoI of machine learning investments. In her own research and effort to conceptualize and evaluate different ideas to bring AI solution into Numerify offerings, she realized that the adoption of AI is still at experimentation stage across many domains and organizations are keen on adopting it for competitive advantages. In her opinion, AI and ML technologies are sheer enabler and the real magic is actually in identifying the right set of problems that can be solved with AI and ML and generate wide-spread impact. One such area that she could strongly relate to was bringing AI to the daily lives of a working parent to solve the challenges that he/she faces on a day to day basis. She has co-authored and submitted a paper on this topic in GHCI’2018. She is a B.Tech. from IIT Kanpur and has done Business Analytics Program from IIM, Bangalore. Her project on “Consumer Sentiment analysis around Maggi Fiasco” at IIMB was awarded. She did a presentation on “how CNN was applied on Twitter data for Sentiment Analysis” at ICBAI Conference’2016.
