Shane is a Management Consultant specialising in high-performance, self-directed work teams. Working with small teams for 32 years in sectors as diverse as Defence, Police, National Security, Mining, Renewable Energy, Antarctic Research, Health and Foreign Affairs. Shane's found that the fundamentals of group behaviour remain similar regardless of context.
Coming from a background of "traditional" project management, he's led the delivery large and small, simple and complex projects across State and Territory Governments, the Australian Government and internationally in Papua, Thailand and New Zealand.
Shane became an "Agilist" in 2010 when he moved a software development team to Agile using Scrum to deliver value to a Renewable Energy Government Business Entity. He's since used Less, Nexus and SAFe 4.5 to deliver Scrum at scale in both software and business projects.
He's currently delivering Agile Coaching and Scrum Master services to a large multi-year, billion dollar program of work in the Health, Aged Care and Veteran Payments sectors.
Shane holds a Master of Management from the Australian National University, an Advanced Diploma in Project Management, PRINCE2 Foundation, and Certified Scrum Master.
Shane is the Founder of the Canberra Agile and Scrum User Group found on Meetup and author of THE BIG AGILE SURVEY: The State of Agile in Australian Government Departments in Canberra Survey.
