With over 20 years experience researching teams and helping them significantly improve productivity, I believe that the shift to the Digital Age requires a fundamental change in perspective; what worked in the past will no longer provide competitive advantage and sustained business results.
As a consequence I have created a fusion of the Team Emotional Intelligence framework that I originally published in Harvard Business Review, with principles from Agile. The combined framework, called Inspired TeamsTM, not only creates a high-performance, collaborative team, it also helps teams meet three crucial challenges of the Digital Age:
- The need for execution speed
- The need to create a culture that energizes top talent
- The need to generate innovative ideas that disrupt the status quo.
I have over 20 articles published in top journals and book chapters including Harvard Business Review. I have presented at over 20 Academic and Agile conferences. My work integrates a practical background into my work with research and theory. I have experience as an engineering manager delivering products ahead of schedule; research consultant working with large clients; and co-founder of GEI Partners.
I have assisted teams around the globe to achieve greater collaboration, higher performance, and resolve pesky problems with team dynamics that seem to come back over and over again.
