Marvel universe has always fascinated me, the next gen AI bots like JARVIS and FRIDAY used in Marvel cinematic world had been inspiring me a lot. When I watch them, I even envisioned myself to be a creator of one such AI for self-use.

With more experience and exposure in my field (Digital Quality Space), my vision had turned into a quest, my desire turned out to become “EiNo” (Virtually Interactive Bot in Testing).

EiNo with NLP enabled, would help any tester to perform testing related activities, enable self-learning systems and use analytical tools to predict and recommend. EiNo ensures standardization of scripts and reduce manual efforts.

I would this abstract by quoting that, a good product quality would achieved with a good fail first strategy and a shift left approach mindset, EiNo becomes the right platform for the same.

When anyone speaks about test automation, people tend to co-relate to functional and regression testing. 

People spend lots of effort and money in test automation and to see better ROI on functional and regression areas, my point is why are we just restricting ourselves only to functional automation, why cannot we move ahead and use test automation for non-functional aspects as well?

Considering the current maturity of Automated Testing, I have come up with few Value Added Services (VAS) for test automation, which adds more than just developing automation scripts. Imagine creating an Test Automation which will not just check for the functionality of the application, but also checks for security, page performance and accessibility.

This presentation presents them using selenium test automation. 

I have created tools like Accessibility Cop, Page Speedometer and XSS Detective which uses selenium either to retrieve details or use it as a mechanism for web crawling to find the non functional bugs in your web application. 

Would like to demonstrate these tools and show case the ROI being achieved using these tools 

The evolution of Test Automation started with automation tools that had record and playback features.  This allowed Automation Testers to record and structure the script in such a way that it could be reused. Tools like Selenium, which provided APIs, could interact with different browsers. The Automation Testers could use these APIs to interact with web applications. Additionally, it was possible to develop frameworks for reusing each of the components of the framework. Currently, the focus has shifted more and more towards the designing of frameworks rather than just the tools, so that the testing framework could be integrated with test management applications and continuous integration tools to aid test-driven development.

With that background, we have come up with certain Value Added Services (VAS), a step ahead of developing functional automation scripts. Imagine creating an Automation Framework which will not just check for the functionality of the application, but also check for security, page performance, page layout, accessibility and have an output that can be a trigger to other aspects of testing.

This paper presents three of the Value Added Services that we offer. We are working on creating many more such services on top of the Automation Framework.

When someone says I have Automated a EPUB/PDF file, it would bring a lot of joy to the people who manually test them, as there many factors to be considered for testing.
For a start we need to validate the EPUB file, verify the version and ensure whether the standards for the EPUB file are been followed for the respective version.
Followed by Content,alignment,font,text,indentation,images ..etc same goes with PDF as well. Its a tedious manual process,if we automate most of it then we are talking about a good ROI

Is it possible to automate? Yes, through Selenium with NodeJS.
